KL Rahul and Suniel Shetty have made another significant move in their investment journey by acquiring a 7-acre plot of land in Owale, Thane West, for Rs 9.85 crore. This land is part of a larger 30-acre and 17-guntha property. The deal was officially registered in March 2025, with a stamp duty of Rs 68.96 lakh and registration charges of Rs 30,000.

    Strategic Location: Owale, Thane West

Owale is located along Ghodbunder Road, a key corridor that links both the Eastern and Western Express Highways. This makes it a strategically valuable area, offering:

    • Easy access to commercial hubs in Mumbai and Thane
    • Strong connectivity for residents and businesses
    • Growing interest from investors in sports and entertainment

This combination of accessibility and development potential makes Owale an attractive option for long-term investment.

    Previous Real Estate Investments

This isn’t the first time KL Rahul and Suniel Shetty have ventured into real estate. Their recent purchases demonstrate a consistent investment strategy:

    1. In July 2024, KL Rahul and Athiya Shetty bought a 3,350 sq ft apartment in Pali Hill, Bandra, for Rs 20 crore.
    2. Suniel Shetty and his son, Ahan Shetty, acquired a 1,200 sq ft property in Khar around the same time for Rs 8.01 crore.

These choices highlight a focus on properties that offer both prestige and future value.

    Profiles in Success

KL Rahul has carved out a name in international cricket and the IPL. His accolades include the CEAT T20 International Cricketer of the Year award, a testament to his leadership and consistency.

Suniel Shetty, a veteran of over 100 films, is known for his roles in action and comedy genres. He has received the Rajiv Gandhi Award and has diversified interests in fitness, hospitality, and real estate.

A Broader Trend in Celebrity Investments

Their land acquisition reflects a broader trend among celebrities who are increasingly investing in real estate. Areas like Owale, with their promise of development and accessibility, are becoming prime targets.

This shift suggests a blend of financial foresight and personal vision. These investments go beyond mere transactions—they represent confidence in the future potential of these locations.
